A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Vladimir is a highly skilled dance artist with a diverse and extensive background. He holds a BFA from The Juilliard School and an MFA in Choreography from the University of Iowa. His professional dance career includes performing with prestigious companies such as the Cisne Negro Dance Company and Ballet Stagiun, as well as guesting with numerous other companies.
Throughout his career, Vladimir has shared his expertise as a performer, choreographer, and educator across the globe. His work has taken him to countries such as Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, England, Germany, Italy, Mongolia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, the United States, and Uruguay. Notably, Vladimir participated in a workshop in Israel with Ohad Naharin and the Batsheva Dance Company, where he delved deeply into Naharin’s renowned Gaga technique.
With a solid foundation in ballet and extensive training in Graham, Limón, and Taylor techniques, Vladimir teaches technique classes that bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary styles. His approach is tailored to guide young dancers through the evolving demands of today's performance landscape, ensuring they are well-equipped for the challenges of the modern stage.
As a choreographer, Vladimir collaborates closely with composers, costume designers, set and lighting designers, and other artists to create dynamic and engaging works. He creates pieces for both students and professionals, working across contemporary, ballet, and theatrical genres, including plays and musicals. His choreography often reflects his commitment to engaging with contemporary issues, offering audiences and collaborators a fresh perspective through both traditional and innovative movement languages.
In addition to his choreographic and performance work, Vladimir is skilled in digital media, utilizing tools such as Final Cut Pro for video editing and Photoshop and Lightroom for his digital photography, allowing him to extend his creative vision beyond the stage.
